Sorry we missed you

During the shooting of the movie "Sorry We Missed You", directed by Ken Loach in 2018, Aidan Doyle was given the opportunity to watch and record the filmmakers at work. Studies of their collective activity have provided the basis for a body of paintings and drawings which were exhibited in eleven venues across the UK & Ireland as part of the film’s release in cinemas in 2019. This was an unique opportunity for the painter to collaborate with artists from diverse practices and to enter a discourse across creative disciplines.
